Hard Disk baru...

Setelah berkurun lama aku berkeinginan untuk memiliki External Hard disk..akhirnya aku berjaya..
Aku beli Hitachi SATA External Hard Disk 160G pada harga RM191.00 tapi sekarang ni aku macam ada 2nd thoughts la pulak...bukan nyesal..tapi sebab kalau aku beli yg 250G baru RM243.00 (sama Brand la..tambah RM52 je, tapi..tak yah la..RM52 tu duit minyak aku seminggu tuu...(ni duit minyak pada kadar sekarang la..kalau belum turun ari tu seminggu RM80)..

Officemate aku, Ahyee (bukan nama sebenar) cakap hard disk aku ni environment friendly sebab kat depan dia ada gambar daun...hehehe..apa2 je lah...

Takpe lah.anyway aku puas ati gak sebab akhirnya aku dapat mengbackup segala file dalam Macbook aku ari tu yg hanya tinggal 2G free space je..fuhh...lega.. Sekarang dalam hard disk ni juga terisi segala Series...Movies..Gambar, Lagu dan jugak segala artwork aku.. alhamdulillah...

Aku pun biasa mengalami menda ni, antara lagu2 yg stuck dlm kepala spt. jingle "Paddle Pop", kebanyakannya lagu2 yg annoying. Tapi paling aku tak leh lupa, aku ada member sorang tu yg stuck bukan dengan lagu..tp dgn lori jual tilam.."Tilam...tilam.." Nasib baik dia tak stuck ngan motor jual Putu Mayam..hihihi...

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - The vast majority of people say they have been mentally tortured at one point in their lives by a song that keeps repeating itself over and over in their heads.

And new research shows that people most frequently plagued by this phenomenon are those with slightly neurotic tendencies, and people who enjoy and listen to music often.

These mental broken records are also more likely to play the first or last song we hear in different situations, such as the first song that comes on in the morning alarm, or the last song playing before we turn off the car, study findings show.
Songs that topped the list as being most likely to stick around in someone's head included the Baha Men's "Who Let the Dogs Out?" and the Chili's restaurant jingle about Baby Back Ribs.

But the number one song rated most likely to cause this phenomenon, referred to as an "earworm" in Germany, is "other"--indicating that many different songs can become stuck in our heads.

"Just about anything can get stuck in people's heads," study author Dr. James Kellaris of the University of Cincinnati told Reuters Health.

"We each have our personal demonic tunes that get stuck in our heads, I guess," he added.

Kellaris presented results from his current study on Saturday at the Society for Consumer Psychology Winter Conference in New Orleans.

Kellaris's previous research into the phenomenon of earworms revealed that "sticky" songs are those that are relatively simple, repetitive, and contain an element that surprises the listener. This incongruous element can be an interrupted pattern, or something that violates expectations of what comes next.

During the current study, Kellaris distributed surveys to 559 people aged 18 to 49 asking them about their personalities, how often tunes got stuck in their heads, how long the episodes lasted, and when the phenomenon was most likely to happen.

Ninety-eight percent of respondents said they had experienced stuck songs. Most said the episodes occurred "frequently," and lasted an average of a few hours.
Songs with lyrics were most often the culprits, a trend that Kellaris said is not surprising. Often what gets sticky is not just a tune, but also lyrics, a trend he calls "stupid lyrics syndrome." Combining a tune and lyrics ups the chance of song snippets staying with the listener for hours, he said.

Episodes of earworms also tend to strike people with neurotic tendencies more often. These people are not seriously neurotic, Kellaris said, but may simply be more prone to worrying and anxiety, and may have neurotic habits like biting pencils or tapping fingernails.

Women were more likely than men to report feeling annoyed, frustrated, or irritated about having songs stuck in their heads--a trend Kellaris said he is hard pressed to explain.

In terms of how to protect yourself from earworms, Kellaris recommended that people not worry about a stuck song as soon as it appears, and perhaps avoid listening to music for a spell if it becomes too sticky.

Strategies people report using to rid themselves of stuck tunes involved trying to listen to something else, distracting themselves with another activity, and trying to erase the repetition of one song snippet by singing the song all the way through.
"If they can't remember the lyrics, sometimes it helps for them to sing through the entire song, and then it will go away," Kellaris said.

Kellaris said he has also heard a "folkloric" recommendation of chewing on cinnamon sticks to rid the brain of a sticky song.

"Some people swear that will unstick a stuc tune," he said.

Thumb Drive ku Rosak lagi...

Hmmm... aku tak tau la dah berapa kali aku beli thumb drive. Yg terbaru thumb drive aku Kingmax 8G yg nipis, aku baru beli 2 bulan kot, dah rosak. Aku tak tau la, aku rasa sebab aritu aku tertinggalkan kat dlm dashboard kereta 2-3 hari, agaknya sebab panas, abis rosak. Sayang space 8G tu, banyak movie boleh isi. Pastu aku beli baru, kali ni 4G cukuplah, aku beli brand Kingston, kat ebay je aku beli. Senang, terus dia antar ke office. Aku mana ada masa nak gi Low Yat tu... nak tunggu PC Fair, sama gak, ramai lak orang nanti, so beli online je, abis cerita. terus sampai ke office, tak yah keluar pun.

Open House Dawama 2008

Waktu aku sampai pagi semalam, tengok2 banyak khemah yg dah hampir siap dihias. Makanan sampai dalam kul 9.00 pagi,semua staff kelihatan sibuk meng"arrange", menghias dan buat final touch up pada khemah masing2. Cuma Khemah Bahagian Percetakan nampaknya belum sampai lagi makanan diorang. Tapi Khemah diorang cantik la, siap macam ntah nak kata apa pun tak tau, tp pintu masuk macam ala2 pondok/pintu gerbang la..cantik & kreatif diorang ni..Semua pakai bahan terpakai je, contohnya kayu pallete. Kali ni aku lak rasa cam tergugat, cantik khemah diorang ni....

Semua department dibahagi-bahagikan menjadi 7 kumpulan. Kumpulan2 ini terdiri daripada :

1) Kumpulan Serambi Selatan

Gabungan IT, Percetakan Digital, Pengurusan Kualiti dan Komunikasi Korporat. Bertemakan Selatan dan menyajikan masakan dari Melaka & Johor, menunya adalah Briyani Gam, Rojak Petis dan Soto serta kerepek ubi dan pisang. Pengunjung yg datang turut dihiburkan dengan dendangan lagu-lagu Ghazal.

2) Kumpulan Selera Utara

Department Stor dan Edaran, menyajikan masakan utara tanah air seperti Laksa Penang & Sup Tulang.

3) Kumpulan Padang Pasir

Gabungan department Admin, Finance & HR..bertemakan Arab tetapi menyajikan hidangan seperti Ketupat Palas, Lemang & Nasi Himpit, Rendang Tuk & Ayam, Kuah Lodeh & Kacang dan juga Roti Arab. (mana ada arab makan lemang daaa....)

4) Kumpulan Masakan Timur

Department Kreatif & Multimedia menyajikan masakan dari Pantai Timur seperti Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu & Sata (aku tak tau apa Sata ni..ingatkan Hard disk je ada Sata...tak sempat rasa)..

5) Kumpulan Kuih_Muih & Dessert

Terdiri dari Bahagian Pemasaran & Majalah, menyajikan aneka Bubur, kuih-muih tradisional, buah-buahan dan Jeruk.

6) Kumpulan Selera Borneo

Terdiri daripada cawangan Sabah & Sarawak yg menyajikan masakan dari Borneo seperti Ambuyat, Ayam Pansuh, Umai, beraneka Kek Lapis Sarawak dan Ikan Terubuk Bakar.

8) Kumpulan Masakan Panggang

Terdiri daripada Bahagian Percetakan dan menyediakan masakan panggang iaitu Kambing Panggang dan Satay. Oh ya, ada jugak teh tarik... nyaman tu..

Sepanjang Majlis berlangsung, aku rasa aku tak sempat nak ke Bahagian Utara dan Timur sebab perut dah sebu.. tp yg bahagian2 lain aku rasa sikit2 je lah..cukup syarat... tapi Nasi Briyani kami tu memang sedapppppp sangat2..

Kumpulan kami tak menang, dapat no. 4 je, (ceh...tak adil betul...hihihi...) Yg Menang kumpulan Arab...(Walaupun kok dikira tema, patut dah disqualified tu...Arab mana makan lemang daa...) Tp props mereka memang lawa la, siap ada Shisha.. Tapi kumpulan Masakan Panggang pun cantik juga khemah mereka, tp x tau lah penilaian juri melalui apa...mungkin layanan ke, Food Presentation ke, Props ke...Tak tau lah...

Pemenang pada hari itu adalah:
1) Kumpulan Arab,
2) Kumpulan Borneo dan Kumpulan Selera Utara (berkongsi tempat ke-2)
4) Kumpulan Selera Selatan
5) Kumpulan Masakan Utara
6) Kumpulan Kuih-Muih
7) Kumpulan Masakan Panggang (ada ahli kumpulan mereka yg spt tak percaya.. hehehe)

Seronok juga pada hari tu sebab tak yah keje..hehehe.. pas tu dapat merasa masakan dari seluruh Malaysia pada 1 hari.... tak larat beb.. Semua orang berpakaian Baju Kurung dan Baju Melayu...tapi yg tak syoknya, ada juga yg pakai Baju Melayu tak complete...sebab aku teringat masa keje kat Brunei dulu, diorang kalau pakai Baju Melayu, mesti complete bersongkok dan Sinjang (samping), even kanak2 pun mesti complete. Kita kat Malaysia ni macam dah tak mengambil berat menda2 camni.. Konon macam tak nak beriya2 la kot, tapi kita tak bangga ke ngan Pakaian Tradisional kita? Jangan satu hari nanti semua ini akan pupus sudah...

PERSIAPAN RUMAH TERBUKA DAWAMA 2008

Pagi ni aku sampai office, cam biasa la, tiap2 hari awal... Aku sampai je tadi dalam 7.10 pagi, tengok2 Khemah dah siap terpasang... Kami cuma ada petang ni je masa utk menghias khemah masing2.. Group aku plan nak buat macam gambaran dalam rumah kampung la... Disebabkan tema kumpulan kami adalah Masakan Selatan (Melaka & Johor), so En. Naim dah siap2 kan layout gambaran dalam umah untuk di printkan pada Tarpaulin sebagai dinding rumah.. Tapi masa hari Jumaat itu hari, layout rumah ni masih belum ada texture..plain je, so dah dekat nak tengahari tu, En. Naim suruh aku carikan texture kayu...aku dah panic, mananya tak, aku tak suka buat keja dalam keadaan rushing ni, nanti output dia jadi ntah apa2.. aku pun cari je kat internet wood effect ngan batu bata..alhamdulillah sempat gak... so petang tadi diorang pun start memasang "dinding" rumah kayu ni...

Bila dah siap print tu, nampak ok gak background kayu & batu bata tu, at least bila dah di besarkan image tak jagged...hehehe.. aku tak tau la, tapi rasa macam group lain rasa tergugat je...hihihi... Aku tak kisah kalau tak menang pun tak pe lah, yg penting jgn kalah dan kena booo... sudah...hehehe... kelakar lak rasanya.. Tapi aku rasa ok gak lah, sebab sebelum ni masa keje kat Brunei, rasa cam tak bercampur masyarakat...tp bila dah balik keje kat sini, rasa seronok gak sbb Company aku keje ni banyak aktiviti... at least staff tak de la bosan..

KL Photo Festival 2008

KUALA LUMPUR PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL 2008, 18-19 OCT, BERJAYA TIMES SQUARE.

Aku dah ter'miss' pegi ke KLPF ni..(heheh...macam la sebelum ni pernah pegi pun..) Menurut kata officemate aku, ...pergh... ramai betul orang. Tak berenti2 flash berkelip2. Aku nak gi sebenarnya tu hari, saja nak survey2 la..aku minat nak beli Nikon D40x atau D60.. Walaupun D60 sebenarnya Version D40x yg diupgradekan je.. tapi, D40x murah sikit la berbanding D60. Yang penting Body Camera kena bagus dah boleh masuk 3rd Party Lense (eg.Tamron & Sigma).

Tapi aku tak pergi disebabkan takde geng nak gi... lagipun Hujan, nanti jalan mesti jam punya lah...tu sumer yg malas tu.. Jadi weekend baru ni aku menghabiskan masa duduk di rumah saja... (nak gi umah Molek, Molek balik Seremban lak)..Tengok la weekend depan camana, gi umah Molek and lepak ngan Apai ke...
